The 2015 Holt County Autumn Festival Senior Queen was selected on Wednesday evening, September 9, at the grandstand in Oregon, MO. The 2015 queen is Montana Kunkel, center, daughter of Brian Kunkel and Kathy Holstine of Mound City. The 1st attendant is Maggie Caton, right, daughter of Brian and Lisa Caton of Mound City. The 2nd attendant is Sarah Dudeck, left, daughter of James and Anne Dudeck of Oregon.

The “Hula Girls” performed at the community pep assembly on Friday afternoon, September 4, before the Mound City Panthers’ homecoming game later that evening. Mound City R-2 high school principal, Korey Miles, had all the right moves to go along with his grass skirt and coconut “top”.

A look down Main Street of Graham, MO shows the parade route lined by vendor tents. Food, drinks, games and merchandise were available to the public during the Graham Street Fair on Thursday-Saturday, August 27-29. The parade was on Saturday, August 29.

The “Czech Mate” entry at the First Annual Cardboard Box Regatta on Saturday, August 15, was submitted by the Vodika brothers. All regatta entries were submitted by part-time or full-time Big Lake, MO, residents, but the race was open to non-residents as well.

Approximately 50 people enjoyed the Big Lake Tour of Homes on Saturday, June 20. Trent and Donna Tiemeyer’s home, pictured above, features an inlaid ceiling of maple, pecan, hickory and walnut woods, complemented by inlaid mirrors. The home was built entirely by the Tiemeyer couple.
