With schools closed, and summer underway, here’s a line-up of activities to keep boredom at bay:

SunK.I.S. (pronounced “sunkiss”) Tanning and Hair Salon, located at 214 N 2nd St. in Maitland, Mo., is as cheery and warm as its owners.
The Mound City Lady Panthers claimed their second consecutive state track title on Friday and Saturday, May 23 and 24, at Dwight T. Reed Stadium at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO.
The second-grade students of Mound City R-2 received purple helmets from the Holt County Health Department as part of an annual effort to keep children safe and aware when riding bicycles.
The students of Craig R-3 said goodbye to graduating seniors and welcomed incoming freshmen at the Friday, May 9, commencement exercise.
